Belarus wants Gazprom to invest $1.4bn in fertilizers sector
Belarus has proposed to Russia's energy giant Gazprom to invest $1.4 billion to this country's mineral fertilizers and electrical energy production sector, reports Belapan. The construction of a 400-500 MWatts energy block at the Byaroza hydro electrical plant is one of the most prospected projects proposed to the Russians.
The project costs $330 million.
Belarus also needs $1 billion of Russian investments for the development of Hrodna Azot, Belarus's chemicals and fertilizers giant.
