Belarus won’t report Ukraine ambassador’s actions in Minsk
Belarus denies information to Ukraine about envoy's whereabouts
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has asked its Belarusian colleagues whether Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Mikhail Yezhel is in a military hospital. However, the Belarusian Prosecutor General's Office has refused to present this information.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has received a reply to MP Tymchuk’s request, Ukrainian Pravda reports. Yezhel is wanted in Ukraine on charges of state funds embezzlement. He was the Minister of Defence in Yakukovich’s time and was sent to to serve as an envoy in Minsk afterwards. The next Minister of Defence fled to Russia before the annexation of Crimea. The Ukrainian Army was not ready to defend the country and did not have the necessary military equipment. Yezhel is one of the suspects in the case of state funds embezzlement.
