Belarusian becomes champion of Europe in decathlon
Andrei Krauchanka has won a gold medal at the European championship in Switzerland.
The Belarusian scored 8616 points. Frenchman Kevin Mayer won a bronze medal with 8521 points and Russian Illiya Shkurenev won a bronze medal with 8498 points.
It is the first gold medal of the European championship for Andrei Krauchanka, 28. His previous best result was a bronze medal in 2010. By the way, Krauchanka won a silver medal at Beijing Olympics in 2010.
