Belarusian border officers to use French helicopters
The Belarusian State Border Control Committee has bought a eurocopter as part of a fleet replacement program.
Three more helicopters will be purchased next year, said Pyotr Zhurauski, head of the agency's air service.
The committee currently operates for Mi-8 helicopters built before the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The 2-million euro eurocopter will be based in Pastavy. It costs cheaper than a similar Russian-made helicopter.
