Belarusian deputies to comment on “Belarusian issue” in Vienna

The OSCE PA session has started in Vienna today. Belarus is represented by a delegation of the House of Representatives headed by vice speaker Victar Huminski.

Besides the events in Kyrgyzstan, the situation in Belarus after December 19 is also included on the agenda. “The Belarusian issue” will be discussed with the help of papers prepared by the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights. Besides political repressions, the deputies will discuss the closure of the OSCE office by Minsk authorities.

Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Janez Lenarčič and OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović will take part in the discussions.
