Belarusian fined for solidarity with Maidan
Illya Dabratvor gets a fine of 8 base-rate amounts (Br 1.04 million) for a picket of solidarity with Ukraine's protesters at Kiev.
Judge Victoria Shamunya returned him guilty of an unauthorized picket held on November 30. Dabratvor picketed the Ukrainian Embassy in support of the Euromaidan on that day.
More than 10 activists came to support him in court, Radio Liberty reports.
The trial took two days. Illya Dabratvor spent the night before the trial in Akrestina prison.
