Belarusian MFA urges reporters not to pin labels when describing ‘Union State’
Mass media should stop pinning labels for no reason when covering Belarus-Russia integration, Belarusian deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Yauhen Shastakou claimed at the seminar “Common Information Space in Union State” in Minsk on Wednesday, May 11.
The Belarusian diplomat noted the important part played by journalists and the significance of direct contacts and joint projects in the two states’ mass media. They need to present impartial information about the development of the Union State, Shastakou thinks.
The diplomat urged journalists to avoid pinning labels and looking for a black cat in a dark room in connection with it, the MFA press service reports.
