Belarusian opposition to take part in Euronest meetings in Brussels
Members of Belarusian opposition parties and organizations will take part in the meetings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels on March 21-23.
Representatives of nine opposition structures will take part in the Euronest events – the Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Hramada), Movement For Freedom, Tell the Truth campaign, United Civil Party, organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, BPF and others.
The meeting of the Belarusian work group is appointed for March 22.
Most Belarusian opposition structures are planning to pronounce a single message to Europe, BCD leader Vital Rymasheuski said. “We are preparing a joint message to European politicians. It is connected with this year’s parliamentary elections. We believe that the terms in which the elections will be held and their correspondence to the OSCE standards should be emphasized. All the other things are beneficial only for the Belarusian authorities and will promote the conservation of the situation in the country and the elections will be rigged,” BealPAN quotes him.
MPs have not been invited to the meeting, Rymasheuski stressed.
