Belarusian potatoes and beetroots not allowed in Russia
Over 20 tons of Belarusian potatoes and beetroots have not been allowed to enter Smolensk Oblast.
Russian Smolensk and Braynsk Oblasts Inspectorate prevented an illegal import attempt from Belarus on August 7.
It stopped a truck transporting vegetables in Kransinski District, Rabochy Put reports. The potatoes and beetroots had been imported without the required sanitary certificates.
The vegetables were returned to the sender. He was also made accountable for violating the quarantine regulations.
Belarus is planning to replace the EU import of fruit and vegetables to Russia.
