Belarusian written language amendments to come into force on Sep 1, 2010
Amendments and additions to the rules of the Belarusian language will become effective from September 1, 2010, said Aliaksandr Lukashynets, Director of the Institute of Language and Literature at the Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The changes will deal with about two dozens words-exceptions and borrowed word forms. Most of the grammar rules have not changed.
The government plans to supply new textbooks to all students by September 1 next year, reports Interfax Zapad news agency.
