Belarusians protest against Russian military bases again (photo)
Activists of the campaign Together for Belarus have protested against the presence of Russian troops on the Belarusian territory in Minsk and Mahilyou
Alyaksandr Tarnahurski approached the building of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense with a poster in Minsk. Leaflets have appeared in Mahilyou in protest against the Russian air bases.
Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu announced a plan to create a Russian air base in Belarus in April 2013. A group of Russian fighters Su-27 landed at Baranavichy air base #61 in December. Technical personnel also arrived with them from Russia.
Some Russian military objects are already situated on the Belarusian territory: a communication base in Vileika and the radar station Volha near Hantsavichy.
