Belarus's break-in thieves open locks within 4 seconds
The Belarus Police have urged the members of the public to remain vigilant when the "dacha" season begins and when the number of apartment break-ins is traditionally on the rise. Apartment break-in thieves are able to open button locks within 4 seconds, according to the spokesperson of the Interior Ministry, Katerina Samusenkova-Shelegava.
She stressed that even the entrances equipped with intercoms are not a problem for the thieves. They could disguise themselves as workers from communal services.
However, the most popular cause of break-ins is a free access to private apartments. The practice has showed that negligence is the number one cause of apartment thefts in this country, reports Interfax.
