BLS asking for live broadcast of Alexievich Nobel Prize ceremony
The Frantsishak Skaryna Belarusian Language Society has asked the Chairman of the National State Television and Radio Henadz Davydzka to organize live television and radio broadcasts of the Nobel Prize in Literature awarding ceremony for Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich. The letter was signed by the Chairman of the organization Aleh Trusau. The ceremony will take place on December 10 in Stockholm.
As was earlier reported by Euroradio, Aliaksandr Lukashenka spoke critically about Svetlana Alexievich (see. Video). He allegedly said that as soon as she had received the award, she started throwing "bucket of dirt" on Belarus.
