Bus driver deprived of driving licence for 2 years
Arkadz Krachun tried to appeal his fine and was deprived of his driving license instead.
Minsk driving inspectorate retuned him guilty of the recent road accident involving a BMW (see video). Zavodski District driving inspectorate retuned him guilty of the accident at first. Arkadz Krachun was fined for 65 thousand roubles. He decided to appeal the decision in Minsk driving inspectorate and was deprived of his driving license – the maximum punishment.
Krachun told Euroradio:
"Minsk driving inspectorate has made the decision. I wanted justice but it has become even worse. They accused me of being mentally unbalanced. They even sent me to another medical check-up for my “negative attitude to drivers and negative comments on the Internet”.
Having watched the video, driving inspectors found out that the BMW driver did not stop, Arkadz explained. The driver said that he could not see very far and decided to lower his speed to 20-30 km/h.
Arkadz Krachun: "How could we collide if he was driving at the same speed I was? I have a few days to complain to the court now. But I do not know if there can be justice in this country. I will have to struggle alone because I have no one to support me. I had hoped for justice in our country. But people say that I was trying to give somebody a lesson and collided with the car on purpose. This is not true.”
