Football fans face prosecution after brawl in Navahrudak (video)
The incident happened on September 28 during the Hrodna region football championship game between Navahrudak and Cementnik.
According to BELTA, several dozen youngsters appeared at the stands and started beating the viewers. Besides, they were wearing masks. However, the hooligans ran away after they had faced the resistance of the fans, assisted by footballers.
The investigation qualified the actions of the plotters as "hooliganism committed by a group of persons". A 21-year-old Minsker has been arrested under the suspicion of having committed the crime. The law-enforcement authorities are identifying the personalities of other attackers, as well as their motives and goals.
