'Dead soul' found in Glybokaye executive committee
Official hired a relative who did not actually perform his duties.
Department Head of Glybokaye executive committee (Vitsebsk region) is accused of embezzling nearly 57 millions of state money, BELTA reports with reference to the district prosecutor's office.
It was revealed that the person in question employed a relative who never actually showed up for work. "Dead Soul" was an employee from August 2012 to September 2014, the suspect received his salary for that period.
The criminal case was filed on January 12 based on the inspection that included employees from anti-corruption service and Vitsebsk Regional Executive Committee and Glybokaye police departments.
The suspect is not only working in the executive committee, but is also a local district deputy.
The criminal case has been transferred to the Investigative Committee.
