Death toll rises to 69 after Ukraine mine blast
Death toll after a mine blast in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk has risen to 69 people, the press office of the Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry said in a statement.
The fate of 31 miners remains unknown. 357 people were removed from inside the mine, including 28 miners admitted to a hospital, some of them in critical condition. Methane exploded on Sunday night at the depth of 1078 meters, reports Interfax.
Emergencies officials said a total of 456 miners were underground at the time of the blast.
