Drunken drivers fined for $4 million
Drivers caught in a state of intoxication were fined for more than $4 million (or 12 billion roubles) during the first months of 2009.
According to Attorney General Ryhor Vasilevich, judges have started fining drivers for maximal sums. Moreover, the number of women among such drivers is increasing.
“Interfax” reminds that the maximal fine for drunken driving is 35 million roubles.
