Belarus loses $160 million due to devaluation of Russian ruble

In August Belarusian exports of agricultural products to Russia in monetary terms increased by 107%, but in dollars Belarus lost.
This was due to the depreciation of the Russian ruble, said Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Leanid Zayats.
Leanid Zayats: "Due to the devaluation of the Russian ruble, we lost almost $ 160 million. Volumes of supplies increased, but in dollars we lost."
Supply of Russian cheese, meat and dairy products also increased. In August, the Ministry of Agriculture recorded the highest growth of supply, the Minister added.
At the same time, imports of fish in Belarus changed slightly - 101% compared to last year. For the first 9 months supply growth amounted to 840 tons.
