Egyptian court acquits ex-President Hosni Mubarak
The verdicts were pronounced on November 29.
Mubarak, his two sons and a number for Egyptian officials were acquitted. The court returned the ex-President not guilty of the death for demonstrators in January 2011, of exporting gas at lower prices and of the corruption case connected with misappropriation.
All the defendants were acquitted. Mubarak was accused of the death of demonstrators and the prosecutor asked for the death penalty for him. However, the court refused to consider the case and lifted all the charges. It means that the case was closed de facto for lack of corpus delicti.
