EU urges Russia to stop sending troops and equipment to Ukraine
Russia should also withdraw its troops from Donets Basin.
OSCE observers have noticed two convoys of 17 trucks with heavy military equipment on the territories controlled by separatists near Donetsk. Observers mentioned howitzers and Grad rocket launchers, BBC reports.
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini called the reports ‘an alarming factor’. She urged Russia to stop sending troops and military equipment to Ukraine and withdraw the troops that are already there, UNIAN reports.
All the sides should stick to their commitments according to Minsk agreements and memorandum and seek a peaceful solution based on the respect for independence, sovereignty and Ukraine’s territorial integrity, Mogherini believes.
