Europe ready to use peacekeeping force in Ukraine
European diplomats are planning to consider sending peacemakers to the country.
The Lithuanian, Polish, Latvian and Swedish Ministers for Foreign Affairs have demanded that the EU Council of Ministers imposed sanctions on the families of Yanukovich, Azarov, Zaharchenko, Ahmetov and Firtash.
They have also suggested considering the possibility of sending peacemakers to Ukraine. Germany has already supported the idea, ukr-online.com reports.
The French President has supported the European politicians: he has urged the EU to impose sanctions on Ukrainian officials. President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso has also approved of the sanctions.
The use of force put Ukraine on the threshold of a civil war, European politicians noted.
