European airports closed because of Eyjafjallajökull volcano again
The volcanic ash cloud that appeared after the eruption of an Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull has returned to Europe totally covering Ireland and the North of Britain.
Flights in Ireland were cancelled by 2 p.m. EEST on Tuesday, informs Onet.pl.
The biggest Irish airlines Raynair and Aer Lingus did not function. Dublin and Shannon were closed.
According to Icelandic geophysicists, the column of ash rising from the volcano reaches 5.5 km.
The volcano is situated 200 kilometers away from the Icelandic Capital - Reykjavík . The eruption started on April 14 and blocked flights in Europe for about 2 weeks.
