'Europe's geographic center' sign unveiled in Polatsk
The memorial sign "Europe's Geographic Center" was today unveiled in Polatsk, Vitsebsk region. Its coordinates are: N55.30' and E28.48'. The official news agency Belta reports that the Belarusian geodesists used aerospace and state-of-the-art computer technologies to determine Europe's geographic center. Researchers concluded that Europe's center is located exactly in Polatsk.
