FEMEN leaves Ukraine
Movement activist Alexandra Shevchenko says FEMEN seeks safety abroad amid increasing attacks in her home country.
FEMEN explains it by attacks against the movement participants. It will be safer to stay abroad where the Ukrainian authorities cannot reach FEMEN, BBC reports.
The police also planted weapons in the organization’s office during a search on Tuesday, FEMEN leader Ganna Gutsol claimed. According to her, the police found a gun, cartridges, a grenade and Putin and Patriarch Kirill’s photos with a bead drawn on them. It looks like FEMEN were getting ready to kill them, Gutsol said. FEMEN is a peaceful movement and its participants have never had any weapons and never planned any armed attacks, she noted.
The police blocked the organization’s office in Kiev, FEMEN reported earlier.
