Fire truck parade in Minsk (photo, video)
The day of fire fighters was marked by a traditional parade near the Circus in Minsk: rescuers marched in Independence Avenue and demonstrated fire trucks used in Belarus. The modern vehicles were accompanied by horse-ridden fire engines from the old days.
The fire fighters’ professional holiday is marked in Belarus on July 25. It was held on Saturday because it coincided with a weekday. The parade was followed by festivities in Horki Park where rescuers demonstrated their skills to the present members of the publict. Celebrations ended with a concert.
