"First Belarusian political prisoner in Poland" issue to be discussed in Warsaw today
The press-conference "Andrei Zhukavets - first Belarusian political prisoner in Poland?" - Foksal press-center (the Journalist House), Warsaw, 10 a.m., May 13.
Representatives of Belarusian and Polish organizations will participate in the event.
Back on April 30, the court of Bialystok punished Zhukavets with three years of imprisonment.
Andrei Zhukavets' case has been in progress in Poland for 14 years by now. The entrepreneur who used to help the "Young Front" and was forced to emigrate because of this, is charged with fraud. The official Minsk is pursuing his extradition.
Zhukavets' lawyers of defence turned attention to the falsification of the Belarusian documents many times.
