Heavy floods hit central Russia. The mean monthly rainfall was registered in Moscow in the period between Saturday and Sunday night. Some city streets were flooded.
Kursk was flooded almost instantly on June 20 – the mean monthly rainfall fell within 90 minutes. The water was removed by the city drainage system within half an hour and it is no problem now.
The flood was so heavy that water reached car windows in the streets, Russian information agencies report.
