Minsk to announce football stadium construction bid
The new stadium's capacity should be at least 30 thousand seats.
An international bid for the construction of a new football stadium in Minsk will be announced at the end of the week, head of the Belarusian Football Federation and of the Bank of Development Syarhei Rumas told Alyaksandr Lukashenka on March 16.
The order to build the stadium with the capacity of 33-35 thousand seats was signed on July 18, 2014. The new stadium is supposed to be finished by the end of 2018.
Lukashenka also charged Rumas with putting the stadium Tractor in order. The final of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship for girls will be held there next year, ONT reports.
