Foreign investments in Belarus stand at $6.7 billion after 9 months 2017

Over the past 9 months in 2017, foreigners invested in Belarus' real economy (banks excluded) a total of $6.7 billion. Economic entities from Russia account for over 40% of foreign investments, UK - around 26% and Cyprus - over 7%. According to Belarus National Statistics Agency, direct foreign investments amounted to $5.5 billion or 83% of all foreign investments in the period.
In January - September 2017, Belarusian entities (banks excluded) invested $4 billion abroad - almost 67% in Russia, almost 18% in Ukraine and around 7% in the United Kingdom.
