French Ambassador to visit Polatsk and Navapolatsk
French Ambassador to Belarus Michel Raineri will pay a working visit to Polatsk and Navapolatsk on September 29-30, informs BelaPAN. Economical and cultural-historical character of the visit is supposed to strenghen French-Belarusian cooperation in different spheres at the regional level.
The diplomat will meet with Polatsk authorities in the morning on September 29 and give an interactive lecture on the topic of European construction to professors and students of Polatsk State University. The second half of the day is planned to be dedicated to visiting Sophia Cathedral, Catholic Parish of St. Andrej Babolia and Saviour-Eufrosinnia nunnery.
The Ambassador is to spend the whole day on September 30 in Navapolatsk. This town has a twin town in France - Givord. Alongside with that, a pact on friendship has also been signed between Navapolatsk and another French town - Shafay - this May. The Ambassador Michel Raineri will meet the town's administration, visit the biggest enterprises of Navapolatsk, meet professors and students of Navapolatsk state grammar school, where the 7th bilingual French section has been introduced this year. France's diplomatic representative will also attend local churches.
