Gas leakage from damaged street line localized in Brest

A street gas pipeline was today damaged by a grader in Brest during the reconstruction works on one of the city's highways.  Although emergency workers arrived at the scene within minutes, gas leaked to the level of a three-storey building.

The STV television channel reports that the leakage has been localized. Repair works are under way. Specialists are blaming construction workers for the violation of safety procedures.
