Government to suggest adjustment of economic development program

Alyaksandr Lukashenka will listen to the government’s idea as regards the correction of the country development programme until the end of January, Minister of Economy Uladzimir Zinouski told Belarus 1.

According to him, ‘2016 will not be an easy year’, so it is necessary to change the 5-year plan. The social block will not be affected by the changes, Zinouski assured. “There will be good social protection for pensioners and other low-bracket categories of the population,” the Minister promised.

The President will consider the government’s suggestions first. Then they will be discussed at the All-Belarus National Assembly, BelaPAN reports.
