SATIO head Zhanna Hrynyuk dies at 46
Prominent civil activist and scholar, the founder of The Brand of the Year, died at 4.30 a.m. on July 19 after a five-year battle with cancer.
Civil funeral rites will be organized from 2 to 4 p.m. today.
Zhanna Hrynyuk was born in Urechha, Lyuban District, on September 3, 1966. She graduated from Minsk State Pedagogical University (Maxim Tank BSPU) and got a Master’s Degree in social psychology. Then she defended the thesis Economic Thinking. She became associate professor in 1998.
She was founder and director of the Centre of system business technologies SATIO, founded the contest Brand of the Year in Belarus and created a number of international programs in the sphere of business and marketing. She was a member of the Civil Consultation Council in the President’s Administration.
Zhanna was a teacher in Belarusian universities and abroad. She became a laureate of the contest “Business person” on 2009, wrote a number of articles in Belarusian and foreign mass media and organized international conferences and congresses.
She liked music and poetry.
Zhanna Hrunyuk had two sons.
