Homel police colonel detained by KGB for bribery
KGB detained colonel Ivanenko on the evening of April 16.
He is deputy head of the criminal police department of Homel Executive Committee Department of the interior, belnovosti.by reports. The colonel is suspected of taking a bribe of $4000 for settling issues that were in his power.
The General Prosecutor’s Office started a criminal case for bribery against the Homel policeman. He is facing from 3 to 10 years of imprisonment and confiscation of property. He may also be forbidden to occupy certain positions and to be involved in certain activities.
