Hotel Renaissance Minsk unveiled by Lukashenka is unfinished (photo)
The president apparently was not shown around the unfinished 8th, 9th and 10th floors of the new hotel at the opening ceremony.
Builders are still working on these floors. The furniture has already been delivered to the rooms but it has not been unboxed yet. The chambermaids will do it later. There are stickers with remarks on some doors, for example: ‘wobbly lavatory pan’.
Repair works are in process in the foyer on the 9th floor. Alyaksandr Lukashenka was not shown the 11th floor (the presidential suite is situated there) either.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka took part in the opening ceremony of the hotel Renaissance Minsk built for the ice hockey championship on April 14. The delegations of six countries participating in the championship will be accommodated there: Canada, Norway, Slovakia, Denmark, the Czech Republic and Sweden.
