Hulak: No reason to hope for reduced sentences
The head of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee has commented on the today’s decision of Minsk City Court concerning Atroshchankau, Novik and Malchanau.
Head of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee Aleh Hulak has commented on the today’s decision of Minsk City Court not to change the sentences pronounced to Alyaksandr Atroshankau, Dzmitry Novik and Alyaksandr Malchanau for their participation in the Square for Euroradio on air.
"Evidently, court’s decisions depend on some political motives of the Belarusian regime. It proves that the system remains a system and that there is no sense hoping for reduced sentences”, - said Hulak.
Speaking about the recent “reduction” of some sentences, the human rights activist expressed a thought that it was not a system decision.
