Hypermarket construction site on fire in Homel (photo, video)
The fire started in Barykin Street on the afternoon of May 16.
500 square metres of foam plastic were on fire. The fire was not big but attracted a lot of attention, press secretary of Homel rescuers Ruslan Habrylyou told Euroradio.
Habrylyou: “The roof material and lagging caught fire. A lot of black smoke was emitted. The column of smoke could be seen from any spot in Homel.”
About 10 tank lorries were working on the spot. One person was rescued from the roof. Nobody was injured.
A commission is working on the spot to find out the reason or the fire.
