Ice jockey: HC Dynamo Minsk eyes North American coach
A North American specialist may train HC Dynama-Minsk, head of the Belarusian Hockey Federation Ihar Rachkouski (in the photo) said in the programme Contours on ONT.
Rachkouski: "We are looking for different variants. We have a list of possible candidates. We considered 15 candidates together with Dynama-Msink CEO yesterday. We crossed out many names and there are only 3 left now… We would not like to mention them at the moment. A good specialist needs to be the head coach. I would like to stress that we need a North American specialist.”
The English language is not a problem, Rachkouski said. Some Belarusian coaches can speak English and hockey players should also learn it, the head of the Belarusian Hockey Federation noted.
The hockey club Dynama-Minsk cancelled the contract with Slovak specialist Ľubomír Pokovič in mid-October (it was signed in November 2013). Andrei Kavalou is deputy head coach now. The team’s performance in the CHL is unstable, Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted not long ago.
