IMF and World Bank experts work in Belarus
The joint IMF and World Bank mission started working in Minsk on Aril 5. Experts will assess Belarus’ financial sector in two weeks, the National Bank press service reports.
The IMF and World Bank representatives are planning to organize meetings in state bodies, insurance organizations and with ‘other participants of the financial market’ by April 21. They will assess the stability of the financial system, analyze the system of financial protection and define the main directions of the further development of the financial sector and the ways of increasing its efficiency. The experts will also check whether Belarus observes the international standards of observation of the activities in the financial market.
The mission will suggest its recommendations on increasing the stability of the financial system as regards ‘internal and external shocks’ and the decrease of risk.
