Import of Ukrainian beer to be licensed in Belarus
A draft document introducing licensing of Ukrainian beer import has been prepared in Belarus. Licensing of beer import is introduced in order to control how Ukrainian companies fulfill the obligations they have taken with regard to establishing of minimal prices for shipment of Ukrainian beer to Belarusian market, informs Nasha Niva.
Belarusian side has conducted an anti-dumping investigation with regard to beer produced in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side has admitted the fact of dumping - a series of Ukrainian beer companies have signed agreement on establishing minimal prices for shipment of beer to Belarus. The companies which signed the agreement have the right to obtain licenses for import of beer from Ukraine. Names of the companies are not informed.
According to the data of the State Customs Committee, in January-August 2010 import of Ukrainian beer amounted to 3,421 million decalitres (6,7%) for the sum of $13,2 million (+6,6%).
