Inflation in Belarus reaches 8,2% since beginning of 2013
In August, the index of consumer prices for goods and services grew by 0,1% in comparison with July.
Meanwhile, the index grew by 8,2% in comparison with December 2012, informs BelaPAN with a reference to the National Statistics Committee.
The prices for food products lowered by 0,6% in August is compared to July, but grew by 6,8% if compared with December. Wheat flour got the most expensive in August - the price grew by 3,3% in comparison with the previous month, the price for eggs grew by 2,3%, for bread - by 2%. At the same time, the prices for vegetables decreased by 20%, for potatoes - by 28,1%, for fruit - by 5,7%.
The prices for non-foods in August compared to July increased by 0,6%, compared with December - by 3,5%. Bicycles and motorcycles got the most expensive in August - the prices grew by 1,5%, the prices for footwear grew by 1,4%. Watches became 0,01% cheaper.
The official annual inflation forecast is 12%.
