Investment fund started by Belarusian raises $23 million

The investment fund Geek Ventures, founded by the Belarusian Ihar Makhanyok, has raised $23 million. The IT entrepreneur plans to invest in startups of migrants moving to the US, techcrunch.com writes.

"Talent is evenly distributed, but opportunities are not," says Makhanyok. "I want to create more opportunities for the amazing talent that is emerging around the world," he said.

Among those who have supported the foundation's work are Belarusians Mikita Mikada and Siarhey Barysiuk, co-founders of PandaDoc.

Ihar Makhanyok has appeared on Euroradio several times, including as a guest on the "Startapnitsa" and "Idea X" programs.
