Judges fine participants of September 9 anti-Russian action

A human rights centre “Vyasna” informs that judges are fining the opposition activists detained on September 9. They are accused of participation in an unauthorized action. The detained are getting fined from 175 thousand rubles (5 base amounts) to 875 thousands (25 base amounts). For example, Zmitser Barodka who was beaten during the detention on September 9 has been fined for the maximum sum.

According to the fined participants of the yesterday’s action, they were beaten in a sadistic way not only in the square, but also in the bus, the policemen kept swearing and calling themselves “a punitive organ”. “Charter-97” informs that the policemen did not allow doctors to visit the beaten opposition members.

Let us remind you that the action in Minsk October Square was organized to protest against the participation of Russian troops in the maneuvers “West-2009”. Opposition members spent a minute in the square and then were severely dispersed by policemen. Some people were detained for preventive purposes.
