Kabyakou comments on economy: We live within our means
Non-emission economic growth is being restored in Belarus, PM Andrei Kabyakou announced at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on August 9. The economic results of the first six months of the year and additional measures needed to reach the goals set for 2016 were discussed there.
The results of the first half of the year are satisfactory, Kabyakou thinks. “It would be fair to say that non-emission economic growth is being restored. We live within our means. The economy is balanced and social security is being provided,” the Prime Minister said.
The GDP has increased by 1.9% in comparison with January 2016. It reached 97.5% at the end of June.
