Kadyrov loses phone, over 1000 people get interrogated at night
The police and employees of district administration interrogated over 1000 people including minors on in Shalisnki District, Chechnya, on the night of August 17.
The website kavkaz-uzel.ru has reported it referring to the human rights centre Memorial.
The ethnographic complex Shyra-Yurt was opened in Shalinski District of Chechnya on August 16. Head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov attended that festive opening ceremony.
Kadyrov’s guards examined all the other guests before the ceremony and it was not allowed to park cars within the 1-km area. Then it turned out that Ramzan Kadyrov had lost his mobile phone.
The search for the phone started at once, loudspeakers were used to inform everyone about it. The present were interrogate. When all the guests had left, heads of administartions started finding out the names of all the invited and participates, human rights activists report. Then the participants were summoned to the police and interrogated in the middle of the night. Some people returned home only in the morning. It is not clear whether Kadyrov found his phone or not.
