Kazalpin presents album "East Side Story" in Brest
The Belarusian-Swiss folk-jazz project ended their Belarusian tour with a big solo concert in the city on Bug.
Kazalpin is an international project which consists of the vocal trio Akana and the jazz band Albin Brun Alpin Ensemble from Switzerland. Let us remind you, the Belarusian audience started their acquaintance with the musicians' common creativity on November 30 in Minsk.
The Brest concert took place in the Civil-Cultural Center on December 7. The local jazz-band "Muzart", which became famous for their live performances far beyond the territory of Belarus, helped to warm up the public.
The main "engine" of the independent Belarusian-language music in Brest region - the "Waiting Room" promo community - organized the event. Besides, this event closed the concert season for the promo-community. According to its head Zmitser Nazarau, they wanted to make a special gift to the Bresters in the end of the year 2011. Akana and Albin Brun Alpin Ensemble already performed in Brest last Autumn, before their common album was released. That concert became a unique cultural event for the city. Therefore, it was decided to mark the end of the season with their concert.
