Belarusian track and field athlete Krystsina Tsimanouskaya took second place at the championship in Poland. She ran 60 meters in 7.25 seconds.
The championship in Belarus was held on the same day. The best result in the women's 60 meters there was 7.43 seconds.
Krystsina Tsimanouskaya had to leave for Poland immediately after the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. The coaching staff unexpectedly decided to put her in the 4x400m relay. But Tsimanouskaya runs only short distances of 100 and 200 meters.
The girl posted a video on social networks, where she was very indignant about this decision. After that, they wanted to send her home early. Tsimanouskaya was given an ultimatum to pack her things and go to the airport. There, the athlete turned to the police for help.
In June 2022, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya received Polish citizenship.
