Last warning pronounced to Yulіya Nestsyarenka
Even sports officials have not been able to make the Olympic champion to be reconciled with her former coach. Nestsyarenka will not get to the Olympics in Peking if she does not show a good result this winter. It is an ultimatum. She is only fighting for the right to take part in the relay race and only on condition that she proves that she can run faster then her teammates. 16 sportsmen were crossed out of the group A (potential participants of the Olympic Games) last week in Brest. They haven’t crossed Nestyarenka out yet… But the state track-and-field athletics coach of Brest Region Leanіd Zubrytskі confessed to ERB that Yulia was staying there only thanks to her previous results:
“Yulia is getting ready for the relay race but she has not got her license yet. If it doesn’t happen, Yulia will not be able to go to Peking”.
The chief manager of the National Teams of the country Alyaksandr Rutskih claimed that Nestyarenka had left the “Olympic race” in his interview with “Sportivnaya panorama”. He thinks that the main reason for it is her refusal to talk to her former coach Victar Yarashevich. Let us remind you that she quarreled with her coach after the summer Olympics in Athens and has been training with her husband Dzmitry since then.
“I talked to the main sportsman of Brest Region Mikalai Hevuk and asked him to make the Olympic champion return to Yarashevich. I think such a “triple alliance” could have made everything better, - quotes “Sportivnaya panorama”.
But Dzmitry Nestsyarenka says that Yulia will never return to Yarashevich and that talks of any kind are out of the question.
“These are mere words. Neither Hevuk nor Rutskih phoned Yulia or me because they know very well they will be refused. When the chief manager of the National Teams Alyaksandr Rustkih mentioned that “triple alliance” he was about to be reelected head of the Belarusian Federation of Track-and-Field Athletics. Probably he had to say something like that. There is no sense phoning him now because the Minister of Labour Patupchuk was chosen for that position”.
The state track-and-field athletics coach of Brest Region Leanіd Zubrytskі who was said to have been entrusted with helping the champion put up with her coach says he cannot order them to work together.
“You cannot make Yulia work with Yarashevich. They have psychological lack of coincidence. Nestsyarenka is not satisfied with her methods of work. Yulya is a talented person. She has managed to overcome her spinal trauma and is returning in her good form now”.
