Lukashenka abolishes licensing of touristic and dating services

Aliaksandr Lukashenka abolished licensing of 16 kinds of economic activity, by his Decree No. 450. According to BELTA, this was done for economic liberalization. Abolishment of licensing covered, for example, such kinds of activity as:

1. involvement of foreign working force in Belarus. Now only employment abroad should be licensed;
2. retail sales, apart from alcoholic and tobacco products;
3. tourist services;
4. fish and seafood processing and canning;
5. telematic services (fax, telegraph, data transmitting);
6. activity on collecting people's personal data with dating aims. Now a license is necessary only for dating services with foreigners.

The Decree will come into force since January 1, 2011.
